Despite a tight programme for procurement, Trafalgar FM complete the fit out and installation of Furniture Fittings and Equipment to the first phase of the new LIPA Primary school, comprising of two Reception classrooms and Admin offices, completing in readiness for the start of the Autumn term.
LIPA Primary School staff liaise with Trafalgar FM on the furniture fittings and equipment requirements for the new LIPA Primary School, in preparation for the first phase fit out in September 2014 and completion of the second phase in November 2014.
Works are progressing well on Everton Free School, with the structural steelwork for Phase 2 being erected in recent weeks. Works continue at a pace to complete the Phase 1 refurbishment for a September opening.

Liverpool City Council have granted planning permission for the development of the new Everton Free School at Spellow Lane Everton. The first phase is due to open to students September 2014, with the final phase due for completion March 2015.

To compliment the completion and handover of the new facilities to Sheldon Heath Academy, Trafalgar FM tendered the installation and fit out of a new fitness suite, for the Academy. Cranlea Performance were awarded the works, with fit out and commissioning to take place during September 2013.
During the summer break Trafalgar FM have supported the academy with the final identification, labelling and recording of all transferring legacy FF&E as a part of the decant to the new academy, which formally opened to students, at the start of the new term in September.
Trafalgar FM provide project management support to the site FM team, at BOA, in the co-ordination and planning of a programme of summer works, including staff re-location and churn management, minor building project works, and the procurement of additional furniture fittings and equipment.

Cambridge Maintenance Services commence contract mobilisation and set up, starting with asset verification visits to all of the contract schools during the Easter holiday period.
Following the evaluation of the SWISS- Planned Maintenance Services tenders, Cambridge Maintenance Services are appointed as preferred bidder for the 3 year contract, with effect from the 5th April 2013.
Following the completion of the fixed furniture requirements, for the new academy, Trafalgar FM work with the Academy and the construction team from Lend Lease to work through the loose furniture and equipment requirements, to identify what existing legacy furniture can be utilised within the new facilities.
Return of the Planned Maintenance Services tender for the SWISS schools, Trafalgar FM and SWISS commence the evaluation process.
Bidders for the SWISS – Suffolk Schools – Hard Services tender undertake site visits to each of the schools, over a 3 day period.
Trafalgar FM carry out a review and inspection of the completed defects, with construction contractor Lend Lease and the BOA site FM team. Over 85% of the defects identified from the initial defects survey have been completed satisfactorily with the remaining items to be completed by early February.
Following the posting of the OJEU notice during October Trafalgar FM received on behalf of SWISS, 34 requests for PQQ information. A total of 22 completed Pre-qualifications were subsequently received by SWISS, at the end of November. SWISS and Trafalgar FM then completed the PQQ evaluation and identified 6 shortlisted bidders for tender.
The Government are expected to announce in tomorrow’s autumn statement, the funding of new schools, science and transport schemes. The formal OJEU notice for the SWISS – Hard Services – Planned Maintenance package is raised, with Trafalgar FM acting as Technical Advisors to the project.
Following the series of one to one meetings held during the summer with each of the schools, 9 out of 11 SWISS partnership schools, agree to join the Hard Services – Planned Maintenance tendering process.
Trafalgar FM work with the Academy and the construction team from Lend Lease to finalise and agree the fixed furniture and equipment requirements for each of the curriculum areas proposed within the new facilities.
Installation and commissioning of the new fitness suite at the Academy is completed by Life Fitness, in readiness for the start of the new Autumn term.
Trafalgar FM carry out one to one meetings with each of the schools in the SWISS consortium to develop their individual Hard Services specification.
